A very popular furniture making saw, our Kataba has 20 teeth per inch dispersed over nearly nine inches. Because this is not a backsaw, blade thickness is 0.40mm (0.016"). The JS-3 is the tool of choice when you need cuts deeper than possible with a Dozuki. The handle is hand wrapped with a special braided cord and the ends capped with brass ferrules. The blade is made of high grade Japanese steel and correctly tempered for consistent golden color.
